Isabelle Weiss, Director of Translation and Company Founder
With 25 years' experience in the industry, Isabelle is one of the most experienced and respected translators in the UK. In 1987 it was her vision that set up the 'all under one roof' philosophy - having project managers, engineers, translators and DTP staff all working together in the same office. Isabelle now concentrates on the linguistic aspects of Alpha CRC's in-house production, together with all in-country freelance production. Of Swiss German origin, Isabelle is a graduate of Cambridge University.
Jonathan Chan, Operation Manager - Alpha CRC Cambridge
Jonathan joined the company in 1993 as a Project Manager. He is a modern languages graduate from the University of Southampton, where he studied German, French and Linguistics. His knowledge of production covers commissioning film-plates, artwork, DTP, audio-visual multimedia content, as well as translation and interpretation. Jonathan has managed million-dollar projects for household names such as IBM, Sun and Vivendi International, providing full turnkey solutions for software and games.
Fernando Blasi, Strategic Accounts Director - Alpha CRC Cambridge
Fernando holds a degree from the University of Venice and is a former employee of Corel Corporation and the World Bank. He has 15 years' localization experience, including many years in managing large-scale multi-lingual projects for some of the industry's biggest players, and is therefore very comfortable when providing consultancy to clients. Fernando is typically also involved in designing and influencing processes, assisting in and promoting localization solutions.
Manuela Furtado, Business Development Manager - USA and Canada
With a degree in English and French language and literature, Manuela boasts 12 years' experience within translation, interpreting and localization. Having worked for Uniscape, Trados and SDL, she has an extensive understanding of localization processes and tools. She is responsible for business development and account management for the USA and Canada, with particular focus to the Bay Area. Manuela's key clients include industry leaders such as Sun Microsystems, Avid, Digidesign and BMC Software.
Dr. Peter Nash,
Managing Director
Peter Nash has been in the translation and localization industry since the 1980s. Peter brings an exceptional level of technical and practical experience to Alpha CRC translation projects. He has been involved in the development and application of many innovative tools, techniques and processes for the industry and has created several proprietary software products for localization projects. Peter has been a fellow of Christ's and Churchill Colleges, Cambridge, and is a graduate of Cambridge University.
Darren Hughes, UK Business Manager - Alpha CRC Cambridge
Darren joined Alpha in 2003 as an Account Manager after more than 17 years in the publishing industry. During this time he had direct responsibility for launching new publications, managing large sales teams and multi-million pound budgets, introducing and delivering staff training programmes and implementing new technology. In his current position, Darren focuses on identifying new business opportunities for Alpha, contacting prospective clients and generating feedback. He also manages the company's promotional and marketing activity.
Toni Beltrán, General Manager - Alpha CRC Barcelona
Toni is a localization professional with many years' experience in the business. He has spent 14 years working with some of the most established names in the multilingual communications industry. Toni has a degree in French and Spanish from Middlesex Polytechnic, UK.
Helga Mosner, Business Development Manager - Europe
A native of Bavaria, Helga joined Alpha CRC in 2003 as a Senior Sales Manager and is responsible for business development and key account management across Europe. She has a languages degree from Sprachenschule der Landeshauptstadt München and has worked for some of the largest companies within the localization industry both in Europe and the United States. Helga currently manages complex localization projects for multinational clients including HP, Siemens, Lawson, Agresso, Business Objects and Toshiba.
Paul Mangell, International Sales Director
With a wealth of experience in International Business and International Professional Services, Paul has dealt with a range of Global 500 clients. Prior to joining Alpha CRC, he was International Sales Manager in the G's Group, one of the largest and most successful European traders for the multiple sector (Tesco, Sainsburys, Marks & Spencer). A firm believer in relationship building and consultative sales, he has introduced a range of Software Top 500 clients to Alpha CRC.
Birgit Kirste, QA Manager - Alpha CRC Cambridge
With a degree in English, French and German Translation from Heidelberg University, Birgit has been with Alpha since 1995. She spent two years as a translator and then specialized in Quality Assurance, becoming Alpha's QA Manager in 2000. Birgit manages the linguistic and functional testing of a wide spectrum of localized software, including professional applications, educational and entertainment CD-ROMs and Flash movies. She also creates and adapts test plans and procedures, sets up test platforms, creates error reports and troubleshoots as required.
Silvia Vallejo, Head of Project Management - Alpha CRC Barcelona
Born in Barcelona, Silvia has built her professional career working for software localization companies based in the city. Since 1996 she has worked in production-related roles within the industry. Silvia has a degree in Linguistics and Literature from the University of Barcelona.
Guylaine Tritton, Head of Project Management - Alpha CRC Cambridge
Now enjoying dual citizenship (French and British), Guylaine has lived in the UK since 1991. She has a degree in German, Russian and International Relations from Keele University and an MA in translation from the University of Surrey. Guylaine began her career as a Localization Engineer in 1998, and has spent the last seven years as a Project Manager with Alpha CRC. Her specific focus is on making localization processes as efficient as possible.
